What is a PTSO
EPIC Fun Run Fundraiser
The Gardnerville Elementary School Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO) is a team of parents, teachers, and students who work together to build school spirit, strengthen family connections, and create meaningful opportunities for every Cougar!
We organize events that bring our community together and make learning fun — like the annual Fun Run, Family Nights, Book Fairs, Teacher Appreciation Week, and special classroom projects throughout the year. We also help with communication between families and the school, so everyone stays informed, involved, and connected.
The GES PTSO isn’t just about raising money — it’s about raising experiences. We plan, organize, and support activities that: encourage student leadership and participation, celebrate and recognize teachers and staff, build positive community partnerships with local businesses, promote school pride and cougar spirit in everything we do and much more!
Filling the Funding Gaps
Public funding covers the essentials; but many of the programs, tools, and experiences that make learning truly exceptional and memorable relies on additional support. This is where the PTSO steps in and provides vital support.
Through fundraisers, sponsorships, and donated materials we provide support and events to strengthen student learning and community engagement at our school.
Every dollar we raise goes directly back into Gardnerville Elementary School.
